It's that time again, Flyrtle is coming, time to get the cars ready, get the caravans organized, and prepare yourself for an amazing fun filled weekend full of your favorite and fastest cars from around the country. For 2010 Flyrtle has received a makeover from it's traditional format and is sure to deliver more excitement than ever.

Some of the highpoints of the meet are a full dyno day and show/meet at Lincoln College in West Palm Beach, FL as well as our own class at the track for the special event: Imports vs Domestics. Tuning will be offered by Megasquirt legend Shaodome at no charge to all Flyrtle attendees who are in need of one of his undeniable tunes. As someone who's been flown all over the country tuning Megasquirts his generosity at Flyrtle is very welcomed and appreciated. Full details on the event can be found below:

    Friday, September 24, 2010:
Street Legends Imports vs Domestics at Palm Beach International Raceway presented by BizSpeed.

Gates are at 6PM and racing hours are extended all the way to 1AM for the event. Flyrtle has been offered our own class at the event allowing us to line up any races we choose. Time to settle a few cross country rivalries to see who has bragging rights for the year.

    Saturday, September 25, 2010:
Dyno Day and Meet/Show at Lincoln College

This is the "Main Event" and the venue could not be better suited for the occasion. We've been granted use of their entire automotive campus which boasts a fully equipped 8 bay shop as well as a separate bay housing a Mustang Dyno complete with a ceiling mounted projector and screen for the big crowds watching the dyno action. Depending on response we may bring out a second mobile dyno to have "dueling dynos."

There is plenty of parking to come show off your car or just come to watch the annual gathering of some of the nicest and fastest Probes/MX6s/MX3s in the country all in one place. Food vendors will be on site to provide drinks and food and Lincoln Tech will also be providing full tours of the campus for those interested in getting a closer look.

To sign up for the dyno please PM me and I'll add you to the list when I make the official dyno schedule thread.

Trophies will be awarded for the following Dyno and judged Show Categories.

    Track/Dyno:
    • Highest Boosted Dyno (Probe/MX6/MX3)
    • Highest All Motor Dyno (Probe/MX6/MX3)
    • Fastest Boosted ET ((Probe/MX6/MX3)
    • Fastest All Motor ET (Probe/MX6/MX3)
    • Highest Dyno (Open to all attendees)

Car Show Classes: Best in Show (Probe/MX6/MX3)
    • Best In Show (2nd Gen)
    • Best in Show (1st Gen)
    • Best in Show (MX3)
    • Best in Show (Other Mazdas Pre-2000)
    • Best in Show (Other Mazdas 2000 and Newer)
    • Best in Show (Non Mazda)

There will be plenty of impressive rides in attendance making it well worth the trip for both participants and attendees.

I looked at the dyno sign up and it appears we are the only ones thus far doing the 3 pulls... I think he must of meant the MS dyno tuning was getting full. Ah well, I paid and secured my spot.

Anyone think that me not having front tow hooks is going to be a problem for the dyno?? I can't fit them with the fmic piping like you can on the 323..

your fmic piping just plainly sucks then. all BG's have the same dimensions for the tow hooks EGT/protege/323/LTS

you may be able to find another attachment route tho.
at least one front tow hook will help

The 323's frame rails are further apart then the escort. The gtx smic was proof of that alone. Look at my pics, my pipes are tucked as far as I can get em. I even had to cut off the lips of the underside of the rad valance in order to be able to get the pipes in properly. There's a bigger hole on the drivers side where the smic goes, passenger side has a way smaller area. It's possible I may be able to get the drivers side in without too much of a problem, but passenger side aint happening.
