    N/A Z5 SAFC Questions

    Hello everyone,
I'm considering purchasing a SAFC for my N/A Z5 protege because the general consensus seems to be that I may be able to get a little more power and fuel economy from leaning out the AFR a bit.

Please don't start throwing MSPNP's and what not at me, I'm not smart enough for that stuff, not to mention I like being able to pass emissions (if I had to, though currently my location doesn't require it). Also I know it seems a bit extreme to just start playing with AFR on a car with so little supporting mods, but if I am convinced to get this SAFC, I will get whatever necessary later (catback etc).

If I do purchase the SAFC, I'll use it in conjunction with a Wideband O2 sensor, and I will not be dyno tuning.

My questions are, is this going to benefit me at all, what are some good AFR numbers, I hear depending on the motor, somewhere around 13.0, but I haven't seen any AFR's specific to the Z5, also, does my z5 have a compatable TPS for the SAFC, or will it need an external MAP as a TPS input?

Oh and I see that with some cars, the ECU will just compensate for whatever changes you make with the SAFC, is my protege one of those cars, and will I have to mess with the timing at all?

    Thanks guys.
