Need help with 5 speed swap

I did a 5 speed swap in my p5, the car is running good, but my dash gauges dont work, and some of the lights are flashing, i have tried the automatic gauge and the 5 speed gauge cluster, neither will work, any input would be nice....

is it an ABS car?

I dont think either car was an abs car....

Im thinking it may be a ground issue but not sure, when i start the car none of the gauges work, if i turn the headlights on while its running the lights flicker and the gas and temp gauge goes all the way up

that does sound like a ground issue. ABS cars did not have a speedometer driven ring inside the transmission. non ABS cars did. so thats important to note.

The way i understand it is the msp trannys that have the lsd are the ones that dont have the speedometer gear....but i do feel like its something stupid like a ground causing my issue....im just trying to find someone that may have had the same issue and fixed it...lol

MSP transmissions do not have a speedo gear in the trans unless it was modified by a previous owner...
same goes for any ABS car tho

Correct, i have a p5, donor car was a p5, either way abs cars still had the speedo ring, msp didnt.....there was a guy on here that had the same issue and fixed it, he said it was a ground but never said where that ground was...

im here to tell you for 100% fact its not limited to just the MSP.
