    Idling at 2K

I have a problem with my 1991 protege LX that idles at 2100 or so RPM, and in occasions drop to 1200 or so. I have changed the IAC valve, I have a RX7 B code VAF and the stock VAF and keeps idling that high. I have tried another ECU and nothing. I have managed to put together a intake hose from scrap that I had lying around to get not to leak and nothing (since the oem has cracks) but still nothing, changed the o2 sensor and nothing, changed the TPS sensor, checked the VICS vaccum lines and changed them for new ones, checked for continuity in ECU harness and everything seems to be fine but I disconnect the TPS and IAC valve and nothing changes in the idle. Has anyone had this problem or can tell me what can it be because I don't know where to look anymore.

Does the engine tend to run hotter than it should on some occasions?

Well I have the exintake cam with the stock cam gears. (forgot to tell that if it makes any difference)

High idle is often a vacuum leak. Spray brakleen to find it. It maybe could also be due to the cam being timed off by a tooth.

Any thing else I can spray because the intake manifold is painted. But is it normal that the RPM sometimes drop if it's off by a tooth? (I'll still check to make sure everything is correct)

Ok I checked the markings on the cam gears with piston 1 on TDC and everything seems to be where it goes

Also I was messing with the IAC and I plugged a bolt on the hose and blocked where connects in the intake and now idles perfectly but it's running rich
