what did you do to your non-Protege today?

    because hey, why not.

    ===

-installed new PCV, thermostat, and front main seal.
    -reinstalled crank pulley
-started to cut holes for the front brake lines (patched the fender aprons, so I need to reinstall the grommets for the hard lines)
    -put new front wheels on
-took two collars out of the front coils to get rid of some of the speedboat stance
-ordered Buddy Club seat rail and Works Bell steering wheel spacer.

picture from tonight (rear wheels need 20mm spacers, ordering those soon):

I washed my festiva in prep for our little meet today

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Ordered another $500 worth of parts for the 626. Been too sick to work on it much. I should have just bought a more expensive, lower mileage car to start with.

Put a 4500lb winch on my quad. I bought two of them, and am debating mounting one in the trunk of the 626. I see a lot of vehicles in the ditch in the winter.

replaced all the vacuum lines on the intake at the back side of the head, something like 17 of them... then put the intake back on. motor should be ready to come off the stand Thursday and with any luck it will be back in the car on Friday.

Just helped finish installing the 4a-ge 20v black top in my buddy's starlet. He already had a 16v 4a-ge in the car, but he blew it up, and he's been wanting a 20v for a while, so we swapped in the 20v to replace the 16v. Now we gotta get it tuned. He's heading to the dyno shop tommorow. I wonder what it will make?

put the fuel rail and alternator back on, pulled the pan for a new gasket, and installed the WB spacer.

gonna do 5-speed swap stuff tomorrow and hopefully have the engine off the stand finally.

I like this thread, CP is the best car forum, but what to do when your working on other stuff? Perfect! My Lotus and Mustang forums both blow goats.

cleaned off the remnants of the old oil pan gasket and made a new one with Toyota gasket maker
replaced the fuel lines on the intake manifold
got that stupid ****ing automatic pilot bushing out (and destroyed some stuff in the process)
engine is on the ground, getting the new rear main seal tomorrow followed by clutch/flywheel, then I need to figure out what bolts I still need to put the engine and tranny together.

installed pilot bushing, flywheel, and clutch
transmission is back on, needs a few more bolts and some brackets tightened down

hoping to finish what I need to on the car Thursday to have the motor back in on Friday.

Fabricated the engine mounts and tacked them in.

I had hoped to get everything under the hood, but then the engine was hanging way to low. I now have 4" of ground clearance. I am going to make a power buldge for the turbo and the throttle body.

The WRX intercooler is just sitting there it is not mounted yet. Thinking a couple steps ahead.
