WTB: AWD flywheel and BPT clutch or performance clutch

email me at kyle_jones@hotmail.com, or pm/post here any options you have.

looking for some cheaper options than brand new retail for performance clutch (I don't like centerforce though). GTscort mentioned the AWD flywheel and clutch would work... if someone has that combo lying around let me know how much you want if the disc is in still half ass decent shape.

oh, I'm in Calgary, Alberta Canada...

The AWD flywheel and clutch wont fit your FWD tranny. Get an ACT clutch, I have one and they are really nice.

well theres no way the clutch and flywheel should weigh near 60lbs, and GTScort posted in there about how he uses one. Why did the other guy not reply to GTScort saying that he uses one?

Please don't spew out information unless you're sure you're correct.

you CAN put an AWD BP-T flywheel and clutch in a FWD transmission. My car is running with them right now. They also work incredibly well I might add, the GTX clutch grabs hard.

but they need to be used as a pair, ie you can't use the FWD flywheel with the AWD clutch.

and you also want to make sure the pair you get are in good shape. Mine came on my engine, and they were in excellent shape. if they weren't, I would've bought an aftermarket clutch.

Thanks for the info again. I'm willing to try this to have more than one person saying it works.

I imagine that seeing as everybody says these things don't fit, somebody must have a set lying around?? I don't need the disc to be brand-new quality, but half or better.

                Hi,

I'm using BPT engine with Ford Escort GT BP DOHC n.a FWD gearbox. I totally agreed with GTScort, currently i'm using 9' BPT flywheel & clutch set & it fit in nicely into the gearbox.

I can get you brand new stock Exedy brand 9' BPT cluth plate & cover for about USD200.

As for the flywheel.. i have to check for you the price. Last time i got at the junk shop is about USD40.

                Thank's

Is it different than this because it's the BPT?

I dunno... give me some more details when you have a chance. PM, email, or wherever I can find the message.

                    Hi,

The Ford Escort GT (We called it Ford TX3 with BP DOHC n.a engine in Malaysia) flywheel & clutch is slightly smaller then BPT... it about 8.8' compare to 9'.

If you use 8.8' BP n.a flywheel, u cannot use BPT cluth set.

BTW USD99 is really a good price but by reading the cluth applications, I dun think that the clutch is for BPT 9' flywheel.

                    Thank's
