Nope BP Axles in a GS 30mm wider stock suspension setups.... just torqued them down on Friday nite w/o issue as well.

I think that the splines are different in the tranny... not 100% sure on that though since the v6 and the BP tranny's are both G series.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

            SOHC to V.6

this summer i planned to go V6, but im not starting with a BP... i have a DX, is there anything extra i would need to do, i mean i have to get a new harness anyway, so its kinda the same isnt it? any info would help me decide what to do... also about how much money would the whole project cost me roughly... like assuming i get fairly good deals on everything.. and dont mess up.. lol

possibly motor mounts, but if you use all mx-3 mounts you'll be good.

besides that, you'll be fine, spindles are all the same.

ps. if you have a/c you'll need the passengers side line, or you can just rip the whole system off and save some weight.

mx-6 is fine to use, you can use the engine and tranny, but you'll still need to source out the mx-3 wiring harness, motor mounts, shiftlinkage, couple other misc stuff. also you'll need to get some flexible rad hose because you'll need a custom plumbing set up.

                  JACK

as for price? umm...it all depends really man, but obviously price out, clutch, axles, misc gaskets and seals, and depending on the k's on the motor...timing belt and water pump.

Just wanted to correct the OP on the Air Metering system. Only the 1Gen (88-92) MX-6/626/probe used a VAF (vane air flow). The 2G (93-97) MX-6/626/Probe used an MAF.

And seeing 200hp out of a sqtock KL is virtually impossible. People buy the JSPEC KLZE which is susposed to have 200hp and virtually none come out with that number. If you're running a KL03 or KLDE (Strongest valvetrain of the 3) you're lucky to get ~150hp to the wheels.

ive seen i/h/e klde's dyno @ 150-160hp, and ze's dyno @ 170-180hp with the same mods. ITs all on how its tuned alto of people get the wrong ecu with those motors, and that makes all the difference.

If any of you are running a ZE theres a member on mx6.com that has EPROM chips available to convert your ASPEC ECU to a mirror image of the ZE ECU.

u can use the GS radiator it but its too wide, and u will have to cut up the front end core support a bit..

Does anyone know if the automatic trans from the V6 drivetrain would fit in the Protege?? Or, has anyone worked with or around the V6 auto?? I'm curious as to whether or not the auto transaxle is too large for the Protege??

Or, did the MX-3 V6 have a automatic trans option?? I guess if it did, the auto should fit, right??

I'm sure some people will wonder what the heck is wrong with me....but I prefer autos!
