With the right amount of $$ you can fit a LS1 motor in it. You need to ask "what do I want my car to do" first

1st mod should be to put the stock air box in and grab a k&n filter. You robbed any performance away from that small 1.5 hasy putting that cone filter in. Sounds good I'm sure but its only noise. Welcome to cp

Agreed. I'd put my stock system back in if I could. With a few slight alterations similar to what goldstar did with his third gen.

I bought it with the cone filter with 92HP being what its rated at I never would have swaped the stock box out

Looks like it's been a few years since a post in here. Where are the second gen people?? Gotta wake up this place. [emoji106]

I'm here! Still fighting with the ES rear spindles. I'm giving up and bringing them to a machine shop to hopefully get that bolt out of there. I tightened the rear sway bar the other day on the '97, the end links are maybe a quarter inch away from the lateral links now. I don't dare go any closer. I can now flick the car into oversteer pretty easily, I can feel the rear end start to come around. I haven't actually gotten it to slide, but I'm not risking that on public roads. My '98 is still sitting in the driveway, unused and unsold.

Still looking for seats n exhaust. Might have to do a custom system.
