    Difference between SE and LX etc...

    we got a 90 SE. Whats the difference between that and the LX and and whatever else there is?

    lets see if i can get this right

    the DX protege is your standard entry car hardly any extras
    it has a B8-ME 1.8L I4 SOHC
    2359 lbs

    SE i dont know anything about but the motor
    it has a B8-ME 1.8L I4 SOHC

    LX i think is youe luxery model
    it has a BP-ZE 1.8L I4 DOHC
    2480 lbs

    i could be way off this but i tryed to take a stab at it

      Keep in mind, that's USDM.


      I think the SE was only from 1990-1991. If it does indeed have a B8, then I'm willing to bet that it has no power options either.

        Tell us whatever you can about your SE, and I'll tell you how it differs from my LX.

        My '93 LX has:

        -4 wheel disc brakes
        -A BP
        -Power windows
        -Power locks
        -Power, body colored mirrors
        -Some have a sunroof, mine does
        -A tachometer, with a 7K redline
        -It used to have power steering
        -It used to have a/c
        -Front and rear sway bars

        The above is a list of how my car came from the factory.

          -No Tach

          -Front Sway and puny as hell (not sure about the rear tho, haven't looked)

          what j/y sways should I look for???

            Sounds just like a DX.

            Your engine is a B8-ME.

            The front sway bar is a bitch to to change. You have to lower the rear of the subframe.

            If it has no rear sway bar, you can grab one from a Protege LX.
