    Anyone else here lift??

    So what is everyone's max bench's and so on.....

    I attempted 330lbs the other day, but I got it about 1/2 way up, and it wouldnt budge no more. So 305lbs still stands as my max 1 time bench.

    Squats on the other hand, I did a 3 rep max, and put up 435lbs.
    And dead lift was 305lbs as well.

    i used to lift off and on. i never took any supliments and was benching 265 when i only weighed 170. im also 5'11" so its not like im one of those short fat kids that benchs a bunch cause i have short arms.

    i did 65 dips when i was in highschool 8 years ago. but i only weighed 145lbs then. <-- that is 5th best all tiem at my highschool at the time. since at my heavier weight of 160 i do 62.

      I lift weights at least once a week. I've been doing it on and off for the last two years.

      I'm 5'8" and weigh 165 lbs. Last year when I was lifting more, and I was at my biggest, strongest point, I bench pressed 265 lbs one time.

      I haven't done legs in years, but when I was doing them, I benched about twice what I could squat. That's kinda bass ackwards.

        starting to lift again. never done one time reps. but just did my workout and did 3 sets of 15 at 170. and i am only 135 lbs.
        mods: engine: fm stroker lightened and knifedged crank, 11:1, custom crank scraper, fully p&p head and intake mani, bored throttle body, flowed and matched stock injectors, rx7 vaf, apexi safc, gude race cams, modded ecu 8200 fuel cutoff, blaster coil, clutchmasters stage 3 clutch, fidanza fly wheel and timeing gears, msp diff, custom shortram in a cold air box

        suspension: s/r struts intrack springs and intrax sway bars 15x6.5 rims kumho mx tires 205 50 r 15

            what kind of workout?? If u only did 3 total sets of 15 reps, and call that a workout..thats weak!

              if your talking bench your a liar or don't know how to add very well. no one that weighs 135 just goes and starts lifting one days and pounds out stuff like that. a person that lifts on a regular bases is happy to lift there own weight 15 times let alone 3 sets of it and 35 lbs more. i used to work out with body builders. like i was friends with them and they gave me tips all the time. so unless you where one at some point i can't imagine this.

              i hear that also! when i was workign out i felt as tho it was a waste of my time unless i was there for atleast 60 minutes. not counting any cardio i may have done.

                  **** me a pussy. i went with that workout to get started back up. what needs to be noted is i have 3% body fat. and that was just the bench also had 3 sets of curls 5 sets of dips . and 8 2 minute leg lifts and 100 crunchs. and 3 sets of lat pulls.

                    just started working out again after a long lay off because of work and the past 3 years had been really hard on my health wise turns out i had strep in my blood as a virus wouldnt go away no under control for the last 6 months so finally able to function properly.

                        for having bad health and not working out for some time i would not see you as 3% body fat. then just throwing down crazy weight like that? your stories don't jive son! how about posting some pics of you instead of your wife.

                          I lift at least twice a week, but I never **** around with that "1 rep max" stuff. I like to do a conservative workout: 3 sets of 12-15 reps a piece on incline, decline, and flat bench press. I usually do 105-115 on each bench. If you're counting, that's 9 sets, over 130 reps total with little rest time to keep my hear rate up. And that 's just my pectorals. I'm 5'6", 159 lbs. I also like to curl a variation of 5 different ways with 25 per side, and at least 50 reps per side. And I never life for more than one hour. More than that is detrimental to your muscles. I also do cardio, a 3 mile run, after every workout.
                          My goal is to get bigger in my upper body, but keep lean.
                          So I figure, 160 with less that 5% BFC will make me happy.

                            I Bench @ minimum 4 sets every other day.... except for when im on vacation...
                            Damn im missing lifting. being out of town with no access to weights....
                            I don't max lift but i lift to keep fit.
