    Compressor Wheel sizes

    All measurements with a digital caliper & are within hundredth's but ronded to
    The closest tenth There is a variance in each wheel as none are exactly identical.

    Inducer measurements are taken @ the extreme tips
    Exducer measurements are also taken @ the extreme Tips

    VJ17 "t-bird" IHI-inducer:39.0mm exducer:52.5mm
    VJ20-inducer:36.5mm exducer:52.5mm
    VF10-inducer:39.5mm exducer:56mm
    VF11-inducer:37.5mm exducer:52.5mm
    VF12-inducer:44.5mm exducer:56mm

    Just as comparison the wheel of the VJ23 is ~65mm (at the exducer)

      Dam I still need an upgrade! These turbos are hard to find
      1990 Protege 4wd: BP05 forged internals, Mild ported head, GTR intake manifold, Gates racing timing belt, GTX transmission, Stage 3 clutch, 60trim T-3 turbo, Custom down pipe,3" Stainles exhaust, , Walbro fuel pump, RB-Performance fmic kit, HKS bov, Aurfa coilovers, F&R drilled slotted rotors, 16" BBS wrapped with Advan Novea tires, EDM glass headlights with HID's, Familia front and rear bumpers.

            I wouldn't order anything from vivid there is a reason they are no longer a sponsor on NASIOC.

            Most Subaru guys replace their turbos with mitsu turbos ie. 16/18/20G TD06 on the 2.5 and TD05 on the 2.0. The two most popular Subaru turbos are the 34 and 22, but both are quickly falling off as upgrade choices esp with the USDM STi coming with a VF39. Nothing against Subaru turbos and if you can find a good deal pick one up.

                      Here are the specs of my Turbo

                      Garret T3 - .60 A/R Cold - .48 A/R Hot (Ford 2.3l SVO/Mustang?)

                      All measurements are taken @ the extreme tips

                      T3-inducer:46.58mm exducer:60.35mm






                      Just because I had the turbo here. Here are the Exhaust side specs

                      T3 Turbine details
                      T3-inducer:59.0mm exducer:48.65mm

                        not much bigger then a vf12... but even a little increase in wheel size makes huge HP changes. good info thanks for contributing

                              vj11 is essentially a vj20 with different housings, the vj14 actually has a smaller turbine wheel i believe.
