the only thing megasquirt would use the tps for is accel enrichments, and you can just have that be map based. So you really dont need the tps

AFAIK you need the 4 wire TPS for megasquirt. its a full range voltage scale instead of a 3 point system 0 50 100 or whatever it is again.

if its not working try re-calibrating it

The 4th pin that needs to be connected when swapping the TPS is just a 5v source right? If so it does not matter if it is coming from the VAF or the ECU. Nobody actually has stated the purpose of the wire here so i thought i would bring it up.

Which means, splice the 4th TPS wire into pin 2k on the ECU plug, and move the wire currently on 2L and move it to 2M. 2M does not need to be reconnected as it is not used in the NA harness and the NA cluster does not have a speed sensor in it, I would however cap of the wire coming out of the plug/harness to prevent shorting the ECU/Harness by mistake.

Someone should clean up this thread, everyone voicing their opinion on the matter makes it confusing.

I caught my mistake, post edited to reflect the way I have it run now.

I soldered the 3 wires color-to-color, and ran the 4th wire to the LG/R wire at the ecu connector. Then I took the LG/W wire and ran it to the B/LG wire inbetween the LG/R and R wires.

                        Btw, this is in a 92 mx3 with a manual harness for a 1.6 SOHC, and a BP26 ecu.

Ok, so I'm having issues with this again. It is wired exactly like everyone's writeups say: color to color at the TPS plug, fourth wire run to LG/R at the ecu, and the LG/W relocated to the B/W wire between the Red and LG/R wires in the ecu plug.

When I turn the key on, the TPS reading in the megasquirt slowly creeps up from 0% until it hits about 70%, then holds there until you turn the key off. Moving the throttle has no effect, it doesn't read it at all. Any thoughts on what could be wrong here?
