You can make the alternator work don't get me wrong ... it's simple and so is the PS pump, just change the high pressure pump that attaches to the pump.

My Protege GTs BP seems to have a sensor/plug at the front of the block...the wire that hooks up to it looks like a typical household chord. It's for coolant since i tried to remove it...coolant leaked out. The plug is 3 prong.

Do i have to swap this **** over to my EGT BP that im dropping in today???

PS. i couldnt find out where the wire/chord went to.

The canadian cars came with block heaters, my original motor had one.

My 91 and 93 GTs have adjustable links on both sides, as did Pat's (iirc, it's been a while since it was stolen).

it may have been replaced at some point, as all replacement links are the adjustable type. ive seen many many escorts in the junkyard and ive owned and/or worked on a few (91x2, 92, 93, 94x2, 95) and only 94+ ever had an adjustable drivers side rear link. perhaps it changed mid-year in 93?

btw where is head wound city, CT?

Not sure- for some reason I've only seen LXs with the one adjustable, the GTs i've owned and worked on had duals. Pretty sure the ones on my cars are originals, but at this point, who knows.

                      hmm, weird.

91x2, 93, and 95 out of that list ive owned/worked on were GT's. the others were LX's.

oh, just wanted to point out that a mazda fuel rail works just fine, you just need to use standard fuel hose from the filter to the rail, and the ford FPR.
