      Summer Setup
      Wheels: somewhat modded BBS
Suspension: GTR swap, tokicos, whiteline bars etc etc etc
      Brand: Yokohama S.drive
      Tire Size: 205-50-15
      UTQG: 300/AA/A
Speed Rating: W-rated; UHP Summer Only
      Weight: 20.1 lbs
      Price Paid: US $79ea
      Bought From: tirerack.com
      Used For: Daily driving
      Test Inflation Pressure: 36 psi
Impressions: holy cow these are the best tires I've ever had on this car. I don't know how much of the extra grip is from the extra width, my other wheels could only take 195-50's without rubbing, but these tires blow away the Eagle F1's I had. There is more grip here now than I can find the limits of on public roads. Gonna hafta do a track day or something to find the new cornering limits as they are high enough now to go straight to jail if caught... It's almost boring. No more wheelspin in 2nd and 3rd on corners like freeway onramps.

Jay, As I've said in the past. I've got the same tires. I loved how grippy they were and I never broke them loose through a corner either but I could spin them in first and chirp into second easy. But they sure don't last that long, Yeah I did a few burnouts but still they should last a bit longer than 5 months.. Mine are bald now. lol

Im thinking to go with Falken FK452s
I need something with traction and last long at the same time. Daily driven and be able to handle any abuse I throw at them. Has anyone tried them? or have a better tire for my purpose?

You want tires that last don't follow my recomendation, Ace is right, these yokos don't live long. But man oh man they live well while they do. But even I'm surprised at the amount of treadwear showing already, but then again I'm kinda rough on tires.
Oh and they are utter garbage in slush but this should be no surprise either..

I love the Yoko S.drives and since they're only on my car 6-7 months of the year (UHP summer only), wear is not a factor.

I've never tried the FK452s but on paper they look good for your stated purpose (DD and long-lasting tread, UTQG 300-A-A), and a W or Y-rated construction. The speed rating is more important as a clue to ruggedness of tire construction rather than how fast it can safely run, for our purposes.

I use the Falken Ziex ZE-912 (UHP all-season) in the winter and cold months here and I find them excellent for my puposes. See my separate review in this thread. With a 360-A-A UTQG rating, they should have a longer tread life (Falken claims 40,000 miles) than the FK452s but they only have a V-rating so this will have to enter into your decision. Going strictly by the numbers and considering only performance, not longevity, the FK452s may be a better choice.

Awesome! Thanks for the input. Ya I hear where your coming from Goldstar. Thats the reason why Im leaning towards the 452s. Once I have them long enough to give some feedback, I will more than happily post it here for others to view.

Impressions: Slightly softer sidewall vs Falken Azenis but grippier. These tires are as fast as r-compounds were just a few years ago. Very impressed. So far they are wearing well but I don't expect to get very many miles.

I ended up with a set of Dunlop Direzza, DZ 102's. for just under $400, mounted and balanced and down the road.
I went to American Tire first for some Kumo AST's and they quoted me over $500. I think it was closer to $550. I asked how much they charged for mounting and balancing and I stepped back in shock when he told me $73 dollars a tire! They were trying to cut a deal with me but all I could think to do was get out of there as fast as I could.

I'll never go back there again.
