    protege5 kl swap???

has anyone ever tried this. I own a 626 w/ a kl motor and I know that the other motor option for this car is the fs motor which just happens to come in the protege's for this gen. I love the pro5 but I HATE the fs motor and am going to buy one if this swap is possable. The more I think of it the more I think it will work. I have been through and through an mx6 with an fs and my 626 with the kl and so much is the same down to the mounts, the transmission, you know the important stuff when it comes to swaps.

Tell me if I'm crazy, stupid or just waisting my time but this is pretty much the only way I'll buy this car.

The mounts from the 2.0 work perfectly for the KL, however, the wiring is the real PITA of the whole swap from what I understand.

I really want to do this swap!

I would imagine that you could leave the cars front haness alone and swap the engine harnesses and not have too much of a problem, but unfortunately I'm not going to buy the car so the swap is off and the kl is going back into my 626
