    Heat doesn't work at idle?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to troubleshoot this problem, but my 323's heat won't blow warm until I've been driving for a while. It won't stay warm at idle, but will blows warm again when revving it up. I changed the thermostat a couple of years ago. What should I be looking at as a culprit?

Check your heater core. I would suspect ( as mine was) it is not flowing very well. I ended up getting some radiator flush, ran that in there for about a day and went back and back flushed the heater core with my garden hose. Heat works great now!

Mine blows warm after a few mins of idling, but the upper rad hose is cold until you hold the idle up. i couldn't get my thermo to open until i held the idle up for a minute or so. its odd.

i'm thinking the waterpump isnt all that efficient @ low engine speeds , mine does the same with new rad/ heater core / thermostat..... or the damn pump is failing ...slowly
