Hey Ryan, guess what i've got two of

And go get a FWD FE!!! forget your Kia block! And find a h-type box with a Guru diff! You'll need it to get the power down, and not smash boxes.

Im waiting to get the mounts from Jesiotrot's friend "ben" A.K.A. Soul. after that its merely picking up the FWD FE3 for $705 shipped & then modifications to the frame rails & subframe.

ProGT91- your old kia motor is still sitting covered in the basement, i haven't even so much as started dissasembling the bottom end. all of the accessories are removed & the cylinder head became volunteer for Fidanza's R&D of adjustable cam gears (i'll get the cylinder head back dont' worry)

My main concern is getting the mounts from Ben. after that i'll have all of the motivation i need to complete this project.

                          KIA cylinder head before/after/inside-out

not all to impressed with the FE3 head design. theres ALOT of room for improvement. alot of it is probably to blame from being a KIA casting... but anyhow here are the results after soaking in a pretty concentrated base solution of water & laundry detergent (dont' knock it till you try it)

now you just need some vr6 valve springs.

^ thats on the list of things to grab next JY trip. I'll have to talk to my machinest about the exhaust seat but ~32mm valves are perfectly fittable

I.E. changing the valve seat for a BP intake one or equivalent

it will take a good bit of effort, but pan out & be far worth it in the end. the potential skyrockets over the BP & the transmission is beefier ....

mounts.... well i've had some help with that, but i may alter/redesign if & when the need arises
