Somebody needs this car. I've had at out at Button Willow and Willow Springs, what a blast to drive at the track. The only issue we ran into was boost cut at 10psi. Which is why I was in the process of getting a chipped ECU together. I had to use the boost gauge as a shift indicator.

If you are truely serious about wanting it:
Sounds like a tough one, cross country and all. But money in hand and organizing of shipping the car would be the right steps. If I had to guess, shipping cost would be between $800-1000, rough guess. I looked into shipping a car to Detroit this past summer, so it should be a fair ball park.

I'll be out of touch for the 9 days, holiday vacation, leave Friday morning, get back the following weekend. But I'll try to check in every once in a while to see if this thread is going anywhere...

                Interested in the car

How does the car run? If you shipped it to the area of Buffalo, I could drive it home from there. I am in Toronto Canada. hmm, what would I have to do to bring the car across the border?

The car runs pretty well, but since I bought it about 1-1/2 years ago, I haven't driven it much except on a few race tracks. That's not to say it's not street legal, still has all the equipement. The last time I drove it around on the street, it was fine, but I wouldn't want to have to depend on it for a long haul, as I don't have enough street time to say for sure. I was told it was overheating after 20-25 minutes of city driving when I bought it. That's why it's got a newly recored dual row core radiator. (Did it fix the trouble, don't know for sure.)

best thing to do is rent a car dolly and pick it up it might be allot cheaper then shipping it

I'm back in town now... 12/31

I would agree, the best thing would most likely be to trailer it for any long huals. As for using a dolly, might not be the best idea unless you pull the rear driveshaft first.... I've got a friend who does it with his Eclipse rally car all the time, four bolts on the rear diff, then wire tie the shaft up out of the way.

damn, this is interesting. I did just wreck my car. And we both live in phx.
But I don't think much is compatible between these and a newer protege, I don't think I could swap over my A/C or rear seats or anything.

                            I dunno. I'll send you a PM.

yeah not a whole lot is compatible... however... you could still rebuild that BP and install it, but you'd need to get a BP turbo and manifold and whatnot.
