      In otherwords, 93-97 mazda 626 = GE

Mx6's & ford probes are related in the GE family but may be entirely different.

Dave, if you can get me the mazda part number for the BA V6 astina spindle without needing a vin number i can compare it to the US spec 93-97 626 part number.

not sure if this has been covered or not
but while i was at the J/Y looking at the lantis BA V6 hub last weekend
the car next to is was a Mazda 626 (GE chassie) it has the same writing on the hub, but the lower ball joint was different, as the arms are different

i checked the distance between the bolt holes for the struts on the 626, and appears to the be the same as the BH and BG with in 1 mm(bit of string to messure), im going back to have another look again,,prolly gona get the hubs for my V6 KLZE swap..so i can have the 2pots again (i sold them)

could be something to look at if you US ppls get these GE cars? because all you'd have to do is get the MX3 94+ lower ball joints to make it work

same bolt holes...just the 626/eunos 500 hubs are thicker

yet the Lantis hubs appear to have parts machined down, ...i'll try for some photo this weekend

no the neck that bolts to the strut is thicker on the GE 626
but on the BA lantis you can see where they have machined the neck down to fit...i'll get some photos to compare this weekend

i forgot about that the mx-6 is like that also cause someone put the mx-6 struts on an mx-3 and had to shim them

Here is a comparison shot of the BG spindle side by side to a 2nd Gen probe/mx6 spindle.

The larger ball joints for the cars that have them will fit perfect on the probe/mx6 spindle and the bolt spacing for the strut mount is the same but the probe/mx6 mount is wider. If any of you are wondering about the ball joint size, refer to the thread about using RX-7 ball joints to increase front track.

the tie rod positioning is crazy on the mx6 spindles in comparison.... if you left it upside down instead of how we install it, it might work..... but idk how the angle would be still....

what about the 626 spindle? is that the same? the wider strut mount isn't a bit deal cause like i said you could just use mx-6 / 626 struts or coilovers

Just adding my 2 cents, Mazdaspeed6 front rotors and calipers w/mounting brackets will mount on a BJ spindle I believe they use either a 12 or 12.5" rotor.

Any results yet as far as increased/decreased braking ability? I might consider this if it gives a significant improvement.

just a heads up. the 88-92 626 caliper brackets are the exact same on the 88-92 probes and mx6's also. the front breaking system between all 3 is spot on the same. only difference being ABS, or not.

might help people hunting for parts.
