    ive decided...

    the vj20 just wont be enough. I am not 100% decided yet but i think im just going to sell my vj20, exhaust manifold, 3" exhaust, and injectors and just work on building my t3/t4 setup...

    REASON: well a couple, If started to disassemble the pro and it makes me VERY happy to see minimal rust. Ive kinda decided ill strip the bay to nothing clean it, and spray it probably a gray color (the exterior to follow). meanwhile my father in law has talked me into rebuilding my already top end refreshed motor. It has kinda put me into a do it once right instead of 2 times just to get it done... not to mention the extra money flushed down the drain to bolt my vj20 setup on is not to exciting.

    also a guy i work with just picked up an 05 evo. the car is mint, like 5k on the clock, the guy he bought it from was some rich dude with no extra time and every time he got it out he cleaned it before he parked it, which turned into too much of a hassle for having so little extra time so as you can tell by the miles it sat most of the time.... where im getting at with my escort i was near evo territory with slicks and my vj20 at 11psi (13.7) , id love to be in the evo psi territory (18ish psi) and put a hurting on him without trying.

    basically this will be a themed build, that wasnt figured out till about 2 days ago when i started tearing it down... that theme is - do it right the first time.

    I decided the vj20 wouldn't be enough before I bought one, luckily

    t3/t4 is big though, what kind of power are you looking for?

      i am in the same boat but i already have my vj20 bolted up and running i am just going to get the corksport hybrid so i don't waste any of the money i already have into exhaust work and just add an external wg later

        the turbo is good for "400" or so says turbonetics... Id like to be in the 300 to the wheels range maybe like 270-280 range considering the awd power loss... then considering my 800-1000lb advantage i would have no problems against my buddys evo.

        I already have the turbo,manifold,and wastegate... i just need exhaust, managment, injectors, and new plumbing for my fmic... which doesnt sound too overwhelming but considering the motor rebuild costs, machine shop costs... i wish my money tree didnt dry up!

        the external wastegate was one of the deciders... i hated boost creep, i never was able to do an "after" dyno run because i couldnt keep my boost down during a full rpm pull, i had no issues from 4500 or so but anything below that was causing real issues. so i decided a while ago i was going to have an adaptor made to use my t3 manifold and the external w/g but thats some serious money to make a decient one just to reduce the performance potential.

        p.s. the motor is out!!! pictures are comming, my stupid camera is giving me problems.
