Checked the oil and coolant level before driving from Seattle to Portland. Topped off the gas tank. Averaged almost 32mpg holding a pretty steady 70mph. I'm happy. Now I'm going to start looking at new tires because mine don't have much tread left. Planning on going back down to 14" rims. Trying to decide on whether I should get 185/60-14 or 195/60-14.

Put on my last set of rat holed Dirtras for the GTX. ST springs were too much for the other old set.

My buddy lent me some space in his garage in exchange for help pulling his motor and tranny.

I was able to fix my leaky axle seal and set my timing. Like a new car!

I bolted the suspension back up, put some wheels on it, took it off the jack stands, and rotated it 90 degrees in my garage to make some room. It was at least nice to see it off the jack stands.

Replaced 8 freaking bulbs. Both front & back turning, stop/tail bulbs, and my fog light bulbs. So glad they're all working again though.

Extreme care with the front lower control arm bolts (especially on Canadian cars). Buy the best penetrating oil you can buy, and work them back and fourth carefully. The blind cage nuts give you a false sense that you are loosening when the nut is really spinning in its cage. The bolt also has a tendancy to seize inside the bushing so that adds another element to removal. Cross your fingers, and good luck!

Nothing says love like a new set of NGKs (BCPR7ES-11, gapped to 36 thou)

And flush the cooling system and install a new thermostat

I need this myself, I think my t-stat is stuck open..... no heat at all, temp guage never rises anymore.

I would like to find GTX body parts..... I'm in So Central Virginia. Keep me in mind guys.

Upgrading my toy 323 SE to look cool and stay in the 38-42 mpg range.

OEM two-stage thermostats are the best at maintaining consistant temps. And they cost about the same. Looks like that's the new one you got there in the pic.

I changed the inner driverside (my car is RHD) CV on Saturday, but the knock from the suspension is still there. very irritating by now.

Got hold of a 1989 323 4x4 twr turbo from a fellow member off of the 323gtx.co.uk site and been getting it road worthy. Been welding the floor pan and rear inner sill the past few days, changed ball joints and a track rod end. Put it in for MOT this morning and it failed on rear discs and rear brake lines, the metal ones that run along the subframe are corroded. No problems as ive got a complete other car for spares. So it will be on the road on tuesday.

Any tips on how to get that big bolt out that connects the rear lateral arms to the hub? mines stuck solid and cant budge it, cant even get it to twist.
