As for the moonroof part itself, I think the Escort GT is only interchangeable with the BF 323, but I haven't tried to walk through the junkyard with a moonroof and put it on every other Mazda or Escort to see if it matched. Hmmmm... that something else I can do this summer! LOL

the protege one works too... and yes i did... the 626 and probe would be roughly the same as the mx-6

haha, which year Probe? The last 95 probe i saw had some weird integrated switch setup that I know is different. Maybe that year is off? And I should have your money this tuesday, if not then, wedsnday for sure. My boss sometimes doesnt get around to the checks as quick as we all hope. But ile jump on him about it tomorrow.

I know this is an old thread but you can just swap the switch & the power moonroof motor with the manual hand winder then wire it up, it is a direct fit. I now have a power sunroof.

Awsome posts guys, thanks very much.

Now, one quick question which i recently asked in another thread, tho it seems more appropriate here.

Will just the glass panel swap to my bf's crank roof system? I dont really want to go to power, everyone i know gets a howl out of the crank roof.

But i would love to swap my rough steel rough with a clean glass one.

              Thanks
              Brandon.

Weird... I just unplugged my map light connector, and it plugged right in. My power sunroof came from a 1986 323 GT (non-turbo hatch).

I will be doing another install, this time just a protege panel sunroof (no glass) and will take pics as I go with the wiring. I realize its old news and info on the subject, but hopefully it helps someone else out later.
