      Nice, Nice

My SOHC is still kicking 100k miles later.... I've passed 203,xxx miles and getting a little worried lol .... it eats through a quart of oil about every 500 miles

Also, if you read this Xelderx, I'm still rock'in that same original clutch that you experienced first hand a couple of years ago :D

The guy was going over my car and habeas all confused, asking questions about this and that and I had to explain a bunch of things and a light bulb finally went off that I actually knew what inwas talking about with the car. Lol.

But he replaced the engine harness and this motor was in his dirt round track car 4 years ago, so it has had some head work done and spent 4 races redlined in 2nd gear, so let's see how this works out
350 for the complete motor/tranny/ harness, then $900 for install and misc needed items.

I can tell it's more power. The whole 5th gear, 70mph, 34-3500 rpm crazy. And I forgot how much road noise she has. I almost got rid of that sound deadening. But I need a flex pipe gasket. It's leaking and sounds terrible.

                            Lol.

Pre-converter gasket ordered, ngk wires and plugs ordered.

I also need to order seat covers as the ones I have are nasty and I need to find time to get the MFactory coilover goodness installed, get an alignment and get the miata rims switched over. Then once it warms up, re-do the tint snatch the interior out, dye everything black and sound deaden.

Yesterday did a little bit of work. Got the pre-converter gasket in. Still leaked. When he welded the exhaust flange, he warped it. No one had another pre-cat converter gasket, so I took a post-converter gasket and Wallah! No more leaks.

Also ordered some cheap 2 wire connectors for my high beam wires. They have been janky since 2009. Reinstalled the front bumper, corners and need to do the grill.

I need bushings for the shifter linkage and I need to bleed the brakes and clutch with fresh fluid.

Then, inspection, miata wheels, MFactory coilovers, alignment and miata wheels swapped to current tires. They are 205-50-16, so hopefully they wnt rub.

Oh, and my Ngk plugs and wires showed up today. And since the cap and rotor are the same, per rockauto, for the sohc and dohc ditsy, I will swap that over as well, as they are only a few months old.

New wires and plugs. Looking at the plugs and disty cap and rotor, his story kinda matches up with what he was saying. He said he only had 2 dirty track races in the motor before his nephew wrecked it. But, I went ahead and replaced anyway to be on the safe side.
