So for the last 2 days, I've been chasing a rattle/ clunk going 73-75mph on a incline, at about 3/4 throttle. I also could fill it through the pedal. Felt as if it was coming from the driver side engine bay.

So when i picked her up, my battery was dead, so the mechanic had his in. So I just sat my metal battery box in, put in the battery and drove off. So I figured maybe it's the battery jumping around. Then I figured, nah, that can't be it.

So I get to looking around, and I be damned if the passenger side motor mount bolt isn't about to come out! So of course, I tighten it down and I will see if the clunk goes goes away.

I mean, come on now! SMH. I'll calling buddy tomorrow.

Also, I thought it was weird when I turn the key, the rad fan would start. Under investigation, the wire is not plugged into the temp sender. I think he grounded it. So I will ask about that as well!

with how often those temp fan sensors break i think your better off putting the fan on a different switch.
things happen in swaps, i wouldn't go to hard on the guy for a few mishaps. battery tray does look nice!!

The sensor breaking or malfunctioning? I had 300k on what i knew to be the original sensor on the other motor.

And I can understand things happen, but a motor mount bolt not even being finger tight and various wire looms just dangling not zip tied or attached, among other things are just not acceptable.

In other news, I think the remaining clunk was the lower front tie bar hitting the trans mount subframe mount thing. It only did it between 3250 and 4k, in every gear. So I removed that.

I replaced the trans side shifter bushings with some bronze Amazon units. The bronze bushings on the shifter still looked good from 09 or so. I had a 50/50 chance of finding 3/4/5. Feels 1000x better now.

Also dropped off the miata wheels to get swapped onto the tires, so I will try to sell the Rota's for cheap locally.

Ordered MOOG inner tie rods, outter tie rods and ball joints. So maybe Friday with a Saturday alignment. I would love to put the MFactory coilovers on too, but we shall see.

Tuesday will be the test so see if everything is okay!

Sohc shifter. And nope. Nothing over there to hit.

Today, got my miata wheels mounted [emoji2]

And took off my front lower tie bar. I think the tranny mount bar thing was hitting the front lower tie bar and that was source of my clunk.

Ps tire rod has some play. So I will do all of the suspension stuff soon and hopefully get to the coilovers.

I also ordered cross member bushings and all 4 engine /trans mounts.

So I will attempt to get those on all at once. When i do the coilovers, I will be setting the car back at this height, which I feel is perfect.

With the Green/Black, I finally got tired of it and wanted a car that was 1 color. When it warms up, it will get the bed liner treatment.

Edit: I thought I had a picture up when the car was primed black up top. Nvmd.

                        Edit edit: referenced picture added

Did a bunch over the last few days.

Got some OEM goodness in form of new chassis support bushings, new shifter bushing and insert, shifter washers and the wrong rear tranny mount bracket bolt.

Replaced all 4 engine mounts. The only mount in decent shape was the top tranny mount. The guy that did my swap did not put the upper tranny mount nut on, so it was probably finger tight like the upper engine mount was.

Also did new Moog problem solver inner and outer tie rods and ball joints.

And got my MFactory coilovers installed and managed to break the driver side rear camber bolt. I have 2 on order from Amazon. I need to adjust the coilovers down about 2 inches all the way around. I used the old setup as a reference. It's a little off, lol

Got the coilovers adjusted. DS rear new camber bolt installed. Use my motive bleeder to bleed the brakes. The miata cap does not fit, hence the clamps. Held pressure at 10 / 15psi just find and bleed flawless. I will bleed once more to make sure all old fluid/air bubbles are out.
