Hanging the B6 up in the air to pull off the lower tranny bolts first.

B6 and 5 speed have been separated.

Get the BP up in the air to do the exact same transmission removal.

            Separated.

Hung up the starter and removed the annoying rear intake manifold brace.

            Down to the flexplate.

Thanks for the flywheel, Mr. B6. You've been a sport.

            And the clutch.

After blasting with the torch and drilling out the god damn broken stud, I am left with a clean header to start my exhaust from.

            Done for today.

Honestly, with the way people are talking about the g-series trannies having their weaknesses, i would doubt the f-series would break apart as fast as some people (who have no experience) would say.

I know a guy who's been using an f-series on a gtx setup for a while, i'd say he's safe if he treats it nice.

now the stock B6 clutch is a TOTALLY different story lol

                    Lookin good man

Painted radiator reinforcement with truck bed coating.

Chipping away at the crappy asphalt-tar ****.

Upper radiator supper cleaned off and ready for paint.

                        More chipping.

                        Painted.

                        Painted.

Starting to clean up the paint on the driver's fender. Going to try and take it back to the metal to make sure there's no filler. Also, the paint stuck like crap, so I don't want my paint flaking off due to the ****ty base.

                        And some time later.

Mounted battery tray in the rear.

                        Mounted battery.

Running some 1gauge cable for the power lead and ground to chassis.

                        Big freaking mess.

                        A tiny bit more work.

                        All packed up for tonight.

I added some cheap speakers (Pyle?) to replace some EVEN CHEAPER speakers that were blown. They were $15 at Princess Auto, so what the hey? The two bolts had secured them in but I added zip-ties for that extra bit of security. Also, the P.O. connected those speakers with alligator clips that were just dangling about.

Clearing out the interior for some super fun (said fun is described below).

Fun time! This was done in the span of two hours with the tools pictured below. No dry ice. Just manual labour, a big screw driver, and a big hammer. Enjoy. I know I did.

After cleaning up the driver's side I'll give it a coat of truck bed coating. After that, I'll paint it with Tremclad Hammered Black for that extra bit of rust protection (also, it looks cool).
