    MAP-ECU tuning

Since everyone has their SAFC or MS threads.
    Figured I'd start up a MAP-ECU thread.

Anyone have any fuel maps up? I've got mine running an Auto-Learn right now off the GTX VAF.
I'll give it a few more days to fill in all the tables

if anyone doesn't know the MAP-ECU's....it's basically the stepping stone between SAFC piggy backs and full standalones.

they are out of New Zealand

      Hey man.

Yeap. Got the whole system up and running. Took maybe 3 days.
For computer stuff I'm running a stock BP26 ecu with the MAP-ECU as a piggy back for deletion of the VAF sensor. It's still doing a clone of it right now. I have a small map already complete.

It does all the same functions as an Apexi SAFC....but instead of just modifying the VAF signal. It deletes it entirely and converts the car over to a MAP sensor system. It's also PC programable instead of having a funky blue display for programming.
It also has programable "outs" on it so you can set NOS control, shift lights, intercooler sprayers. It's pretty cool.

There is now a 2nd version called MAP-ECU2. It does full ignition control as well as converting all to MAP based.

Got the car to run without a VAF today.

Had to rewire one thing to trip the fuel pump relay.

I also have to figure out another solution for the IAT sensor. The one that comes with the MAP-ECU appears to be the wrong resistance. Causes the car to run too lean right across the whole band.

So far...with this base map...the car runs...and drives....

But has a long way to go before I would call it smooth or totally reliable.
It was cool to delete the VAF tho.

                    Think they are $400 MSRP.

So usually you can get them for less
