Steering shaft U joint clearance WTF

just put an '94 MX3 rack into my 323; tightened everything up and the friggin lower u joint angle is too much; damn thing binds when I turn the wheel. Not a whole lot but I can feel it when I turn the wheel.
No way the rack can be rotated when installing so I'm looking for ideas.
I changed the front member out too but it's bolted up tight and not bent or anything....
This POS is haunted for sure!

^ lol that sucks! Check on the length of the steering column. Maybe get the MX-3 steering column, but I would check everything again.

are you using your current stock bottom joint??? if so thats your problem. there are differences in length among PS & manual for sure. possibly up to 3 or more lengths. get the one from the rack.

Yes I am using the 323 column and lower joint.
Well I'm going to see if I can shim the lower column support down a bit and cut down the angle the joint works at.
It's that or wait until an MX 3 shows up at the P&P
