A little about me and the car. I’m 24 years old, 1 year out of University, working in the exercise/rehab field. This is the first “real” car I’ve ever owned. I bought my first car when I was 17, a ’93 Escort LX. Having no interest in cars when I bought it, I thought a stereo would be the beginning and end of any sort of modifications and/or upgrades. I was wrong. Mostly cosmetic work was done on the Escort as I knew nothing about engines.

After I graduated, I picked up a 96 EGT with plans of going top to bottom, inside and out with the car – GTX swap with no expense spared. Only a few months after graduating, somebody on FEOA posted a link to a 1992 GTX for sale in Calgary, Alberta (to show somebody else their asking price for a swapped EGT was too high). I looked through it with little interest, thinking I couldn’t do it. After a couple days thinking about it, I called the seller. He sent videos and pictures – anything I could ask for. The car was a 4 day drive away, so I thought it still was unlikely I would consider it. Yada yada yada….a few weeks later it was on a train travelling from Calgary Alberta to Toronto Ontario, where I picked it up in January 2008. Risky to say the least.

To this day, the car runs and drives fantastic. It was imported from Japan to Canada in fall 2007 with 49,xxx kms. It has just over 58,000 on it now. It turns heads, but not as many as I would have thought, surprisingly.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

      That's planned for the winter.

Need to get my gauges in (finding a good RHD pod wasn't easy...actually, it still is a pita).
      Coilovers and struts
      Gauges (boost, oil and wideband)
      Manifold and external wastegate
      Headlights and corners

It's pretty much away for winter now. Back out in May sometime, likely.

      Thanks, guys.
