    November 2008 ROTM - leo323

    Congrats to leo323 for his v6 powered 323 and a outstanding timeslip from the track of 11.9 N/A.








    Well this is how i got into Mazdas. My first car was a withe mazda 323 that my mother bought to a friend of hers that car had first a 1.8 dohc kia sephia engine with a kia sephia tranny and i got it to ran 15.4 @ 88 mph that was in 2002 -2003 oh 2003 i was stding mechanic on a private college i saw a mazda 323 in the internet a blue 323 with a kl engine i sead i whant it to do that set up so i did 2003 2004 i already had my 323 kl powered i got it to ran 13.1 @ 103 with street tires bf drag radials the i threw away that 323 and bought this 1 i made the swap to this 1 and got it to ran with stand alone and slicks 12.7 a 104 with stock intake manifold and internals only high cams

    then i got the idea of the itbs from a mazda miata thats on youtube and i made it and there it is

    individual throttle bodies from Hayabusa motorcycle
    aggressive cams with springs and retainers
    custom adjustable sprockets
    electromotive tec 3 control module full fuel and spark
    Wiseco custom pistons
    forged ford rods
    XTC flywheel act pressure plate clutch net 4 plate disc
    Johnson external oil pump
    OBX short runner headers with custom down pipes
    adjustable coil overs
    front and rear Lenso rims
    front 22x8x13
    rear 22x31/2x15
    fuel cell

    no port polish or big valves yet
    195 compression
    running on 93 octane pump gas

                            Very nice! I'm sure if you gutted your interior you can get in the low 11s. In PR , do they require some sort of roll cage after a certain time? Oh and no seat belt? lol Hope I will be another BG with ITBs soon here! Just that mine is a BP

                              yes there are some restricctions same as nhra after 11.5 you have to put roll cage and 5 point seat belt so I dont need them yet thanks ..
