make sure you clean both surfaces VERY well. you need a female torx socket to properly remove the MBSP.
buy some good brand name sealant, dont use the cheap stuff that comes with the end seals.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

to do it 100% right, i'd remove the mbsp, silicone between that and the block then silicone between the oil pan and MBSP.
you probably also should replace the gasket for the oil pickup tube while you are in there... its been a while but i think it has to come off to get the MBSP off.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

Pick up tube does have to come off. Lay a full bead all the way around(even where the gaskets go). It doesn't have to be super thick or anything. Bolt the mbsp down. insert gaskets(make sure the tabs are in the right way). lay a bead on the oil pan this time. then bolt that down. done deal. Good luck
EDIT. also before putting the pan on make sure you put good globs of sealer at each end of the gasket1993 Protege LX-Midnight's shadow SOLD
