    ok so heres a little update with whats been goin on with my gtx here in new zealand.compression was a little low on one cylinder and car was startung to feel a little sluggish.so decided to pull the engine and gearbox out and see what the problem was

    took the head off to see what the problem was and found a piston ring had broken in the bore.so now it was rebuild time.i decided some oversized pistons would do the trick and also upgraded to bigger than bpt,shotpeened b6t rods.and also got the block rebored to suit the oversized pistons

      got all new gaskets, bearings.shaved and balanced crank,new rodbolts and head bolts.and a few parts coated.also got the head rebuilt to standard specs for the time being and will use this to run the engine in

        this is the progress up to date and am just in the process of prepping the engine bay to be painted..will throw up more pics and progress as i get round to doing it.also il probably run with the stock turbosetup that was in the car before the rebuild to run the engine in and while im doing that,decide on the real setup i want to run with,i.e turbo setup,engine management,etc
