What am I seeing in the rear wheel wells? Were they enlarged? Almost looks like a bead of weld, or is that just masking tape? (I do realize you will be putting flares on it).

The stuff on the rear arches is the weld bead from re-joining the inner rear quarter panel to the outer. I left them unfinished because they won't be visible under the flares. If you don't rejoin the panels, you'll get some nasty deformation in there over time as the 1/4 panel is part of the car's structural shell....not to mention water and crap flung into the cabin.

There's not that much to the plate, really. 3/8"mild steel, bolt it to the bolts that used to house the A/C compressor mounting bracket, then mount the s/c to the plate - really the easiest and simplest forced induction method for the KL....unless you can weld aluminum and decide to mount the blower on top of a custom IM.

I put a sheet in my engine compartment until the motor was about an inch away from the mounts. It was better than nothing, lol!

I got the hood color sanded & polished yesterday, it looks nice. Rest of the car later next week.

Also got all the rubber back on it (doors, door jambs, & hatch), and all the panels put back on.

Probably on Thursday i'll bring her back home and begin the slow re-assembly. I'll put the stock headers, y-pipe, intake manifold and exhaust on it so I can get it CARB-certified first, then after the engine is broken in properly, will add the fun stuff.

The garage has the room now, so I can work inside all the time. I'm excited to think I could be driving this thing by mid-march!
