    Another new thread...

    Hey, just a brief introduction;

    I'm on my second Protege5. This one is a 2003 that I got to replace the 2002 my wife totaled. It was actually a good thing, though I was quite pissed at the time.
    However, I got a newer car with substantially fewer miles on it with a standard tranny and a sunroof.

    The only problem now is figuring out what I want to do first.

          Welcome.
          This is my BP. There are many like it but this one is mine. My BP is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my BP is useless. Without my BP I am useless. I must drive my BP true. I must drive straighter than my enemy, who is trying to beat me. I must beat him before he beats me.

            The problem with playing with the suspension is that I'm really happy with how she handles right now. I know that any upgrade will be just that (an improvement), but I'm still thinking in the back of my mind, "It's not broken, so why fix it?"

            However, I have found that she is wanting for horsepower (especially in the upper end) and I've contemplated a turbo to help with that, but I'm completely clueless about them. I've looked at some info on them, and I've learned a bit, but I still don't know what I'm looking for or exactly how much it will change with the rest of the car (fuel injectors, exhaust, etc.)
            Cost is another factor. I've got a family of five to feed, so unfortunately the car comes in second.

              Welcome. You could probably pick up a used mazdaspeed protege turbo kit. Its cheap and its from the factory so blowing something up would be had to do lol.

                Any suggestions on where to look?

                edit: oh, and thanks for the help, guys.

                    they come up as parts all the time on 247, very few time do they come as complete kits. most get the parts one by one as people upgrade their MSP's. you just need to search and the stuff will come up, but it will take a while.

                        I've looked around, and I'm sure something will pop up eventually.

                        As far as KL, I'd actually heard unflattering things about them. Is that just vile rumors or could there be some truth to it?
