Fuel tank capacity

does anyone know how much a 1993 mazda protege dx holds?

The 2wd model holds 14.5 us gal or 55 liters
The 4wd model holds 15.9 us gal or 60 liters.

I've never been able to put more than about 11.5 gallons in my Protege... I have a '91 LX with 4sp auto now... freaking gas guzzler when compared to my previous '94 DX 5sp man. But the 11.x or so gallons remains the max.

So gas stations here must use the Imperial gallon???

Anyone here actually able to put more than 12 gallons in the Protege?

I've put 13.8 gal in mine before.

But yea I was under the assumtion it was a 14.1 or 14.3 gal tank

just wondering because mine seems like an 11gal tank because this morning i filled up after the light came on and i only filled up to 10.5.
