So i finally got me an engine hoist and i decided to pull the motor out of the parts car. i was by myself, but i had previously removed the axles and exhaust at an earlier date so it was pretty quick, i love hoist action..

So now it seems i am in engine swap mode beacuse i have decided to put this motor in the dx this weekend for the hell of it, and just take the other bottom end (on first page), put in the b6t rods and such and do it like that with the vf10 next spring..

at any rate, i'd really like to get rid of this shell asap..

          pics for fun

            motor in!

i used the harness and ecu from the white lx. No issues, she started right up. i also used the intermediate shaft from the auto trans, and got new axles too, as the dx ones were pretty old. also swapped fuel pumps after seeing how tiny the dx one is lol

so yeah feel free to comment and here's more pics...cell phone pics but its all i had

                      thanks for the comments!

no issues at all. it runs great and pulls strong. the only real issues i had was bolting up the intermediate shaft to the block but got it straightened out, (did it after i put in the motor..lol) and had a broken stud on the exhaust mani, swapped one off the dx header. i do have a genie header to put on. all the turbo goods will go on the other motor when its rebuilt

Yes, still using the f series atm. I have a corksport b6 ACT performance pp, exedy disk and a new b6 flywheel, holds excellent. when corksport had specs on their website before the site redesign, it was rated @ 200wtq capacity iirc. should be fine for now.

thanks, it has taken QUITE some time collecting parts..thats always half the fun..lol...

so, i was surprised when i got the vj20 hotside, this is the first housing ive personally seen that has no cracks..all my vj11 hotsides (3) are cracked, i know its normal, so im glad its in such good shape.. now i need to port the wg hole and put the vf11 flapper on...im just gonna take it to the machine shop and let them do it with a large bit and have them radius the inside of the hole...i have no desire to grind on this..

please more comments/feedback..lmk what you all think

so i sold the vf10 a while back, but got back in the garage again finally.

may look a little ghetto in some details, but she moves! totally unexpected results, i love it. i grin all the time when driving..

                                my first turbo anything

vj11/tbird @ around 12 psi, spikes to 15, didnt mod the wastegate hole..i have a perrin mbc but havent hooked it up, not sure if it would even help

pics of the red valve cover is when i had the vf10. i had it all bolted up and ran it one time, but never boosted because of the turbine housing i got from corksport..... sold the turbo because i was stressed and needed some money and a break...lol. they show what i did to the rad support..headlight bracket i had to massage some, but everything fits great. is close in a few spots but nothing rubs...
