September 2009's ROTM - Mr GoD

September 2009's ROTM WINNER IS Mr GoD

The winner for the month of September was member Mr GoD from New York.

    Exterior Modifications

Mr GoD has spent a considerable amount of time and energy tracking down an extensive list of rare and highly sought after JDM parts. Up front, a JDM 3-hole GTX bumper covers up a set of powerful Hella fog lamps. Above that, EDM glass headlights, GTX corners and the ultra rare foglight grill with yellow lamps.

Moving to the rear, you’ll notice a set of OEM Mazda rain guards along the windows and GTX side mouldings. Below that, JDM power folding mirrors and Escort GT sideskirts have been fitted. Keyless gas door has also been put on this lovely 323.

At the rear, a Familia rear garnish and rear wiper conversion are present. Aftermarket exhaust can also be spotted poking out below the bumper.

    Suspension and Brake Modifications

Mr GoD has equipped the car with ZX2 S/R struts mated to H&R lowering springs. On top of each set of struts is MazdaSpeed strut tower braces. MX3 rear tie bar and disc conversion are present out back to keep things tight and stopping well.

    Wheels and Tires

It’s hard to ignore these classic beauties. Ronal Turbo R10s wrapped in a set of 195/50/15 tires.

    Interior Modifications

The interior has received A LOT of attention – it’s hardly recognizable from a base model 323. First off, GTX front and rear seats are the obvious attention getter. From there, GTX floor mats and carpet round off the JDM additions. A MX3 V6 armrest and steering wheel were donated to the interior from the Mazda parts bin. A Protégé LX dome w/ map light has been installed for creature comforts. Around that, the headliner has been re-wrapped in black fabric. From there, a short shifter with Bronzoil bushings has been put in.

    CONGRATS Mr GoD!
I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county. Yes, twas' a much simpler time back then. Peasants would go about their postings, and I, the mod, would rule over them with an iron fist.

"There's a hierarchy of insanity in motor sports. Normal people think all racers are crazy. Folks who race sedans think people in open-wheel cars are nuts. People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

5 layers of Armor All is not my thing, but besides that I dig the Mazda, very nice!

Those wheels are for sure unique...
