Go under the car on the passenger's side. Find the axel that goes into the wheel and foloow that up towards the transmission. If the axel goes directly into the transmission, there is no intermediate shaft. If the axel goes into a small shaft and that shaft goes into the transmission, It's an intermediate shaft. Your car most likely has one, I think it helps reduce torque steer.

My dad and I replaced the passenger side axel and the guy at Napa asked if it had the intermediate shaft or not, we didn't know, so he gave us an axel. Turns out it was twice the length it needed to be, and we had to go back and trade for a shorter axel. Again, your car most likely has an intermediate shaft. I'm 95% sure.

it is probably a trigger ring for anti lock brakes, they usually put them on all replacement axles for cars where ABS was option. it should fit just fine.

The piece in the middle? You mean the intermediate shaft? Then I don't think so. I replaced my CV axel without replacing the int. shaft. Didn't need to. I believe all you'll need is the axel and you'll be good. Just pop the old one out, get the new one in. Also, if you're doing the replacement job yourself, it helps when pulling one axel out to rotate the opposite wheel at the same time. My dad and I were yanking on the old axel with a slide hammer for 20 minutes. Then I went online, found that bit of information, pulled it out in less than 1 minute on my own. No joke.

A pic of what? The intermediate shaft looks like this. One side goes into the trans and the other attaches to the block.

ok im confused.... if theres 2 shafts do i have to order them separately or what? i only have the one that would go on the outside part that goes on the wheel.

Yes, they are two separate parts. And, I doubt a parts store would have the intermediate shaft. The intermediate shaft pretty much lasts forever. The only way for it to go bad would be the bearing, but it's replaceable. Or, if it breaks in half...
