Will 95 Honda Civic Wheels fit on 94 Protege?

My 1994 Protege DX still has the 13" stock wheels, and nowaways 13" tires are not as easy to get. I may be able to get a set of 14" wheels from a 95 Honda Civic (4-lug also). Will they fit on my Protege?

Yes. Remember to buy lower profile tires to maintain overall wheel / tire diameter.
      Civic wheels
      size 14 x 5 in
lug pattern 4 x 100mm (same as Pro)
center bore 56.1mm (Pro is smaller by 2mm at 54.1mm so this is OK)
      offset should be close enough

Moving wheels from one car to another can be complicated. I don't think it will be a problem, but you might size up some tires to maintain the overall diameter and be sure they will fit on the relatively narrow 5 inch wide wheel.

hubcentric spacers are needed for this, the lug nuts are not supposed to carry the weight. 2mm like stated above.

        Easiest bet? Mazda rims.

Thanks for the info. I definitely not want to run on bent lug nuts if this is the case.

Experience with my late 91 Camry seems to show lug nuts are easy to break.

Would 14" wheels from Escort are a direct fit?

You really think that some plastic hubcentric spacers will hold up the car? I know they sell aluminum ones, but that's not the point. All they are good for is helping you center the rim. Plus, the plastic ones like to melt...

you will be fine with honda rims. the center bore on the hondas are bigger then the mazda, so you don't have to worry about that. just make sure you have the acorn lug nuts and torque your wheels (i.e. each lug nut) a bit at a time and it will center it for you. i've ran numerous honda wheels or wheels with larger center bores, never got hub-centric rings, and just do as i say, and it always centers for me.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

^Um, exactly right. Your lugs should be more than strong enough to hold the tire to the hub. Hub centering rings only "center" the wheel to the hub so there is no vibration. This centering is usually only a big deal if you're taking on much bigger wheels. Toss those 15s on and enjoy them. If the center bore was too small that would be a problem.
