It only sits 1/2" lower than the RRE brace. Just have to be aware that it is there.

I have never dragged the RRE brace in normal situations. I have hit stuff with it on the road like a can, paper cup and a windshield wiper motor laying in the road.

My GTX is about as low as you can go and still be OK over speed bumps and other hazards.

Its only 4 bolts and nothing difficult to do. Any hack can make it work. I did it so there's your proof!

Update on the ground clearance using the Turbine Tech lower GTX brace

As a height reference, my GTX at the front measuring from the ground to the front upper most fender lip is 23.5"

So using that to see where my cars sits compared to others is necessary. The lower TT brace is 2.75 inches off the pavement. The RRE brace I have had forever, is 3 inches off the pavement.

That is very close to the ground for sure.

good job with the measuring, i just checked mine and i am 1/4" lower then you. its not much but i do worry about catching it on a speed bump and doing damage

You cannot catch it on a speed bump because it is located in the same lateral plane as the front wheels. I have those SB's in my neighborhood and clear them OK.

But if the speed bump is a short width (depth) and a relatively tall one its possible to drag the brace at the rear most part of it.

              Good point BTW.

A really cheap but maybe not as effective alternate is to use a capri subframe, like I did. It has four connection points but the long cross link looks weak.

Those braces you have vera nice indeed.

Interesting comment about the beter steering response with the upper strut bar as I was contemplating designing one in SolidWorks now that I finished a class on it.

I have a 95% complete set of custom BFMR rally coil over struts/springs in my collection. These were built by RRE and used on Paul Timmerman's car. One of the mounting ears was broken off during a shunt, but all is well otherwise. The custom-valved inserts were sourced from a Chevy Camaro, iirc. BEEF!

Hey, I know Dave. He didn't have anything to do with these struts or Paul's car, though. Whatever, I have to catch up with that cat!
