    power windows

Ok, so I have a DX, and decided to get power windows. So I got all the doors and harness for the rear doors and plugged them in. They dont work and the 30 amp fuse is in on the interior fuse block so I am wondering if the dx harness will accept power windows. Can I just plug in the front doors to the stock harness?? I checked the wiring schematics and couldnt find any difference in the harness.

Does anyone have any thoughts or have done this previously?? I looked around but didnt find any specifics.

Fromm what I was told by a friend that bought my old lx and swapped in the power options to his dx its all plug and play. The harness between both is the same. The reason your rears don't work is because you need the front main switch plugged in and working

I meant to say, Will the stock wiring harness accept the front power doors. but all 4 of them are plugged in. I checked the 30 amp fuse and its good.

Hey turpro is there by chance a fuse block under the hood. Or like a fusible link before the interior fuse block?? I dnot know maybe the drivers door switch block is bad.

Ok turpro is right, It is a simple plug and play. lol well not excactly. Have fun hanging those front doors. What a biotch.

There is no changes in the dohc or sohc front harness. Just the interior wire harness ran to the rear doors.

Bumping this, I've got a dx interior harness and I got all the front power stuff from an escort. I've compared the wiring and its the same but theres no power at the door harness. The 30A fuse has power though.. I'm puzzled why it doesn't work

there might not be wires running from the fuse box to the door connector. i remember there being something else about the power windows. another circuit for them or something. ill have to look in my wiring book tomorrow when i get home

Funny enough, My power wire became disconnected at the chassis to door plug. Make sure all the connections are good. Then check your main control to make sur it has power. Its always something stupid like what happened to me, lol.

The front harnesses that the doors plug into is the same. All you will need to do is run the chassis wire harness for the rear windows.

Well I've plugged everything in and nothings working
According to the wiring diagram everything is hooked up right. I'm not sure whats wrong. I've tested the motors just jumping them with a battery and they worked fine.
