    How to adjust idle?

For some reason i think there is some way to adjust where your car idles.

mine idles at 500 rpm. and sometimes will dip to 300, shake, and then increase to 500.

would the carberator cleaner you put in gas fix the dipping?

the car is about to need an oil change also

      "consult your documentation"...lol
According to my Anger Management Counselor, after 26 weeks of anger management class, I should be an expert when it comes to Anger Management...tell that to the guy who threw a starburst at my car in rush hour traffic...haha

There could be a ton of things wrong as to why your car is idling. I guess its a common protege thing, because Ive read like 20 different people who had the same problem. I did as well. Check you intake hose, it may have cracks. Check to see if you have any vacuum leaks anywhere. Maybe you have a clogged injector, or something in your ignition system, check your CTS (coolant temp sensor) I had the same problem with my car, and did everything i just listed and them some, and my car still has the auto-rev. It only does it a few times, but then it goes away. Good luck.

750 is the factory idle is to posted ont he sticker on the underside of the hood., and there is a "screw" on the TB that you can adjust.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

and whenever this tank o gas runs out, im gonna go get the oil changed, front end alignment, and all that good stuff, trhen ill go get some of that carbeurator/fuel injector cleaner, and put it in there when i filll up..

then we will see what happens to the idle

Just get some throttle body cleaner, and clean the TB really well. That helped my car a bit. Fuel injector cleaner really didnt do **** at all. It maybe helped for the 1/2 tank of gas, then my car went back to how it was.
