Hey all, long time-no post. Winter is coming to an end and I guess it's time to start worrying about my little car again! mazda1993, I tried putting 00 P5 fronts on my GTR, with no luck. The springs rubbed on the side of the car when I set it down so I took them off right away! I figured they didn't centre the same. But they should be the same shocks as you already have on yours correct? Was I too hasty taking them off or did I screw something else up?

Maybe I put the right side on the left? would that matter?

      Thanks in advance everyone.

I'm guessing he's running a coilover sleeve kit on his GTR, so he probably cut off the OE spring perch to make more room.

edit: generally left and right front struts are the same, but flex line location will be different.

Yeah I have no flex lines to worry about, I figured that wasn't it. Still hoping to keep my stock springs but thats looking less and less likely!

were your old GTR struts damaged? or just a blown seal? Ikd if I've mentioned this before, but you could always get an insert from Koni.

I haven't heard that before, the problem is definitely all the oil is leaking out - they aren't bent or anything. Have to check into that!

BC Racing BR series coilovers, model 89-92 323 GTR bolt right in.

I'm sure no one is surprised, but there's always a chance!

Does anyone know if the wheel bearings are the same for GTRs and bg GTXs and if not what is the oem wheel bearing for a 92 GTX. Thanks in advance.

I thought I read somewhere that the GTR uses the same rear brake setup as the RX7, but I can't find that info now. Any chance they use the same rear wheel bearing or are the bearings the same all around?

GTR rear brake pad is the same is 1st gen RX7, but I don't know if they shared calipers or hubs or bearings. All the BG protege/gtx/r use the same big strong wheelbearing front and rear, least as far as I know.

2wd BG has its own different wheel bearing for the rear I think.
