The truth about mx3 GS rear tie bar placement

So many times I see ppl give info on how the mx3 rear lower tie bar is suppose to be placed. Everytime I see these ppl post false info I can't help but tell the truth. Well my "word" is about as good as the idiot who posted it because there's no real proof. Well at the jy this morning there were 2 mx3 GS models. I took a pick of how the one was mounted and confirmed with the other. Both were identical. So for those protege/323/escort guys that want to do this mod it goes up and in towards the front. Proof is in the pics.

If it makes you feel better, mine is the correct way and btw, it shows the correct positioning in the 92 mx3 workshop manual here > http://www.mx-3.com/manuals/photo.ph...R/92_R-003.gif

You mount it facing down and paint it silver so it looks cool and when people are following you from behind it show up better that you have a "performance part". It's like putting a giant sushi cutter (some may know this as a spoiler) on your trunk...

Does it really matter the orientation, not really I think... you're just trying to keep the tie rod arms from laterally pulling away from each other when driving like a maniac.

pfft. upside down is baller? maybe if you have the balls of a three-year-old.

I have 29 of them, end-to-end, mounted on the belt-line of my 323 instead of cheesy black rubber molding. sand-blasted and powdercoated with a prismatic coating, and mounted with nickel-chrome plated spikes. So it's like a spiked dog collar of irridescent MX-3 tie bars. I'm collecting more bars, because Chuck Norris called and wants me to make him a kit like that too.
