    On your intake setup, what did you do with the hoses and plastic box that connect to the bottom of the hose and also connect to the intake mani/throttle body? I was going to replace my rubber tube with piping, but wasn't sure what to do with the hoses.

    By the way, very nice car. The jdm lights are veeery tight.

      If you're talking about a large hose on the engine side on the intake tube after the MAF that heads towards the intake manifold/throttle body.... I never had one. The smaller breather tube I just got rid of and put on a breather filter.

      And plastic box? You mean the air box? Simply got rid of that. Along with the rest of the intake system that goes in the corner of the bumper and up into the fender.

        Not the air box haha, there is a resovoir type dealy underneath the stock air hose. I'm just gonna take it apart tonight and if it doesn't run right, i'll put it all back

          Ummm, a white plastic thing in the corner of the bumper? Haha, maybe our cars have a different setup. What year is yours?

            Nope, haha. It's kind of similar to what i think you're talking about. Mine's a 95.

              Ohh, ok. I think 95/96 had a slightly different setup. Heres a pic of before I did anything.

                  Maybe.

                  My KYB mounts and boots came today. Well, all the boots and 3 mounts. I have both front mounts, and the rear left mount. Missing the rear right mount, grr. I'll call tomorrow and see what happened, because it says I paid for it in the email.

                      Just called KYB Outlet. They said the right rear strut mount is on back order and they don't know when they'll be able to get it, so they're shipping me a Monroe strut mount. I perfer to have everything be one brand, but oh well, they're the same thing I guess. Springs should be here tomorrow though, woohoo.

                        actually their not.. monroes suckk..

                        and as for the those bump stops the stock ones never go bad could have used em
                        make sure you cut those new ones though..way too big.

                        or you could have just ordered some polyeurathane rings from from

                          Well I needed new boots because mine are all cracked and torn. The bump stops came with the boots so whatever. As for Monroes sucking, I don't really know, we'll find out. But I'd rather get the car lowered soon, than wait an unknown amount of time for KYB to get their stuff together. At least I'll be lowered and if that Monroe mount needs to be replaced then hopefully KYB will have their's in stock by that time.

                            B&G springs are here!! And they came with a bottle of NX Nitrous Express energy drink. Is that normal? Haha. Hope the strut mount gets here soon, I have a 4-day weekend coming up and I'd like to drop this thing asap.



                            edit: Apparently Pepboys carries KYB strut mounts. I'll stop down there tomorrow morning and see if they have the one I need. I hope they do.

                              Okay, get ready for a noobie question(s).

                              (1) The front springs have a flattened end. Is this the top or bottom of the spring?
                              (2) How can I tell which way the rear springs go?
                              (3) On the installation sheet that came with the mounts it looks like there are spacers or springs seats or something that go between the spring/strut and spring/mount, but neither the struts or mounts came with these. Can I just reuse the stock ones?

                              If anyone can tell me with reference to the above pic it would be much appreciated. Oh, and for orientation purposes, the front springs are the middle two, and the flat parts are towards the top of the pic. Thanks guys.

                                when u rest them on the strut spring perches they will sit nicely if u put them the right way up.

                                btw i just noticed that you don't live very far from me, i am moving this weekend to a house right behind GE in Fort Edward.
