    Good to know.
I just noticed that too, since you said it anyway, haha.

Did a quick little tune up. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Seems to idle just a little bit smoother, but I still feel vibrations. If I put in into neutral I don't feel anything, put it back in drive or reverse and it's shaky again, hmm.
Also, no luck getting the KYB mount at Pepboys. Looks like I'm going with some other brand anyway. It was a good trip though. Got new brake drums, shoes and hardware so I can work on them when I'm doing the suspension.

i get the same issue with mine, after i move this weekend and get all my tools out of storage i am gonna start working through some of my pro's issues and hopefully start working on my escort again as well. Maybe we can set a meet up on a future weekend.

I would love to do a meet. I see a lot of escorts/wagons around, couple 2nd gen Pros, 1 or 2 1st gens, tons of 3rd. I've been trying to think of places to do it too, but haven't really come up with anything.

that shakey thing is your EGR.

and as for the springs.. it's really easy to tell when you actually line up..
i can't remember which way they go..
but you'll be able to tell when your assembling.
also the spring coils that are further apart go to the top because that is what moves the most.
and obviously the longer springs go in the back.

I kind of figured that's the way they go. But the rear springs look like they have tight coils at both ends. Maybe it's just me, I'll take another look. As for the EGR/shaking thing, how do I remedy this?

should just be a R&I, clean, regasket,

I would use a small wire brush and some crc carb cleaner to clean out all the carbon buildup, i have been planning on doing this, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Hopefully i will have my garage together so i can actaully start working on things withing the next 2-3 weeks.

BTW the move is done, 509 lower allen fort edward is where i am at now, should be there on weekends, except when i go to clean out my storage unit in S. glens fall. But that will prolly be about 2 weeks away.

Cool, glad to hear you're all moved in. I'll probably try cleaning everything out when I'm doing the work on the rest of the car.

Finally got the right rear strut mount. It's a Monroe, yeah yeah tricksta, I know, haha. Thursday is the day this thing is getting lowered. Pics will follow shortly after. Can't wait.

BTW, rusty, I don't know if you've seen this thread or not, but there will hopefully be a meet in western NY next year if there's enough interest. You should check it out, http://www.wihandyman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50086

That sure would be cool, just have to wait and see what i have going on by then, i am sure they will wait for the snow to clear before having it, then i will just have to decide which car i am going to bring, or maybe i will just have the Mrs. drive the pro and take both.

Well, weather forcast for tomorrow is not very good. Heavy rain all day/night and morning showers on Friday. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except my brother's Integra is out of commision and torn apart in the garage so I would have to do all my work out in the driveway. Hopefully I can get it done on Friday. I already have plans, but I'm hoping the rain stops early so I can get the work done without having to delay anything, ugh.

Also, I've been playing around with the idea of a projector retrofit with 5000K bulbs (no more blue, just for you Turpro, haha). I'd be using the USDM housing to cut apart and mount the projector, then use the clear JDM lens. Maybe something extra like the JDM "city light". Any opinions?

Yeah the weather is going to be pretty crappy, i still have alot i need to do around the outside of my house so i can get my garage functional.

Sounds like you will have a fun project with the headlights, i hope someone chimes in for you in order to help with ideas for the project.

Well the projector part I got a plan for, it's more the "city lights" thing I need ideas for. The USDM corner lights had parking lights, but the JDMs don't. The JDM headlights have city lights, but the USDMs don't. I was thinking of getting the angel eyes (halos), but I don't really want it to look like every other aftermarket headlight out there. They also sell side emitting LEDs (Audi style), but I've seen some cars around here with those also so I don't really want to go that route either. Maybe I can get some small fog lights/projectors from Autozone and put those in next to the headlight projector? I don't know, just throwing ideas out there.

i am gonna have to look on feoa and see if i can find where they used fog lamps to make e36 style lamps out of stock escort lamps. Also need to find the link to show what they look like.

Got everything on the car. Pics will be up later. Didn't really lower it as much they advertise them for, maybe they hav settle/break in? The rear top mounts are still a little loose, I'll fix that tomorrow morning then get an alignment.

Anyone else have ideas on the headlights.

they will settle a little bit over the first couple days. I would wait for a couple days till you get an alignment.
