To be honest, after seeing how the megan stuff held up to Oregon Trail 2008 (we got 3rd overall) they get my thumbs up.
Here's what I want, even if it's impossible. I want springs that won't break, on a daily driver. And being that it's only a daily driver, I want some amount of ride comfort. (even with the 2'' bigger wheels, I feel the road more, mostly because of the low pro tires) and hopefully not too expensive. [under $200?]

for ride comfort i give the edge to the Eibach prokits. with the H&R's in a close 2nd. On the stiffer side I like the Megans and for the price, it's hard to beat. stay away from the tein stuff.

How much would Eibach/H&R run for me for springs and shocks all the way around?

I think I'll probably just end up with H&R's, since those keep popping up everywhere I look. Lol

had them on the suzuki. a little soft and bouncy for my tastes, but they were super smooth on the freeway.

Oh dude. Lol FUNNY story about that.

You know how escorts front bumpers have 6 bolts on the front?
well, my whole front end is ****ed from an accident. (didn't know, till I pulled my front end off.) and well, I only have 3 bolts holding this one on. Ha ha ha.

the 2nd grille from top is what i have left. the bugeye grille is gone.

you would need to convert to '94/323 style headlamsp and hood to get the correct fit on that grille. i also still have those g series axles. fresh rebuilds

That sucks man! Lol I would have totally rocked the bug eye! Lol

Thanks but not thanks. I think I'll stick with my GT grille/front end for now.

Good luck with those though man!

spring BRAND has nothing to do with the ride harshness or smoothness.

The first thing to do, is determine the spring RATE that you want. Then make sure that your damper (shock/strut) is VALVED for that spring rate.

Lots of stuff is too 'harsh' because it doesn't match properly. People put coilover kits over their stock struts, then put some high-rate springs on there. The damper will not be able to control the compression and rebounding of a spring that's higher pressure than it's valve rates. This equals crappy ride, and a shortened lifespan of the damper and other suspension components.

That checklist above is actually pretty simple to do, and not that expensive, until you skip doing the math, and just start tossing springs and dampers at it until you find one you like.

any of the ones noted up top will be just fine. if you want a softer ride i'd say go with the H&R i think it's the least amount of drop as well.
