um.. well... not much is any easier.. maybe honking your horn, or locking your seatbelt.. but that's about it..

"There's a hierarchy of insanity in motor sports. Normal people think all racers are crazy. Folks who race sedans think people in open-wheel cars are nuts. People who race cars of any kind think motorcycle racers are absolutely off theirs meds. But there's one group that everyone agrees is made up of the most extreme, the most daring, and absolutely craziest people in racing - rally racers."

Myself and a few others on MazdasNW.com organize meets every so often. There's one at Corksport in a few weeks, you might want to try to make it to that.

I talked to Derrick and he said they weren't going to have a meet this year. Did they change their minds? Are they going to do the dyno day again too?

Not sure, but wouldn't surprise me if it was awd.

Next time I talk to him, I'll ask.

Oh man, i havent been on this forum in forever ;-)

I dont know if escort and protege seats are the same, but i run mx3 seats in my rally protege and yes, they are quite literally a unbolt, bolt in affair. They have much better lateral support on the thighs, and yes you do sit about 2 inches lower, which is good for me since im 6'4", and my rally car has a sunroof, i normally dont fit while wearing a helmet.

Speaking of rally, yes i believe those pixs are of me (it shows image removed from photobucket to me) from the descriptions. Its a '94 LX (sorry, not AWD) that in '08 i took 4th in prepared front wheel drive. I spent '09 helping out my car club, Touge Spec, at events, and crew cheifed for my friend Andrew's drift team. www.ajcdrift.com Got back into rally for '10, but had to pull the rear seat to put in a 4 point harness cause the shoulder belt broke in the forward position. Removing interior pieces put me into modified front wheel drive, but only running half a season, i still managed to take 4th again, in mod front.
sigpic Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

anyone want to help a guy out swapping bp's in an EGT. i have a non running egt and a whole parts car that i need to swap motors, did i mention i am swapping atx to mtx at the same time i am at the point of having all the harness and most of it ready to pull out of parts car, as far as i can tell would be a little nice to have someone with a little exp. so when i do get it swapped i know it will run. cant offer much but i can provide the beer and some bbq.
