^lol I will.....soon Today I got the walbro 255 intalled, but not without a fight with the gas tank screws. I ended up braking 2 into the gastank, but I think 4 bolts will hold along with some gaket maker Next is to fix the steering rack, it has some play in it. I think I know whats wrong with it.

ya those tiny bastard screws are horrible once they get a bit or corossion or rust on them. My old BGs I never bothered trying to remove them, I took the ez-out screw removal to all of them then replaced them haha.

IT should seal if the sealant you used is gas proof tho lol.

Steering rack play? Inner tie rods? or those new? don't forget to check the column separation joint (where the column disconnects from the steering rack) as those bolts have been known to back off.

So I fixed the steering rack last night and this is what I found out:
1st, the bolt that you mentioned was loose, I managed to installed it backwards so it wasn't tightning lol.
2nd, the bottom nut of the rack needed to be tighten as well.
Everything was put back together with thread lock. I also blocked all the holes that ran fuid to rack. Now it's like a brand new one

I also fixed my ebrake (new calipers) and installed new rear bearings. This car is going to be awesome to drive with all these brand new/fixed parts!

As for the engine, I'm waiting on the cylinder head to be finished. I also need to buy the clutch, and finish my 3" exhaust. I have a lot of work ahead still

list is getting shorter tho man!

Glad you found those pesky bolts, I think it was Jon Reil who had this issue with his EGT, would spin the wheel but the steering rack would stay put lol.

Bought a 6 puck disc ($77 shipped) I'm reusing my old F1 pressure plate, just took a sander to the surface and cleaned it up. I also got centric hub rings for my rims.

This weekend I get the cylinder head! I'm debating on using the eBay head gasket that i have or buying a Felpro one.....

So far you've been assembling an engine each year so head gasket longevity hasn't been important. But if money is not a problem I'd vote for felpro.

Yeah I'm hoping this is the last engine build that I do. I have gotten all felpro gaskets so far. I think I'm going to buy the felpro head gasket.

in all honesty, the quality of the ebay gasket is superior to the felpro's i've seen for the BG

OEM Mazda are supposed to have revised gaskets for the BP now. Much different than ebay/felpro quality, as I find no real difference between the 2 asides from cost.
