Good Lord almighty. I done died n' gone ta heaven. Alrighty, now this is my favorite BFMR on CP (as well as Amazd.co.nz). The fabrication (not to mention the science behind it) speaks for itself. Trailrider, your in a very respectable second place.

    So concludes today's awards ceremony.

Holy crap. I'd heard that the evo5 box could be made to fit but no evidence. Here it is though. I'm doing a GT4 swap to my rally Protege, and having one HELL of a time making everything fit, your swap at least looks much easier. Sheeeit you 've got at least 40mm more space between the block and the radiatormount than I do..
Your rear propshaft isn't in a straight line. The one in my car is much more straight but not perfect. I assume you aren't getting any driveline vibe I hope? This is just one of many concerns I have about my build that I won't know the answer to till it actually hits the road. I won't do a GT4 swap in my street car, but would consider an evo swap. I don't suppose you can source another adapter plate?!
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Believe me its not easy at all lol,Propshaft follows the same path as standard, tho i have made the Diff and gearbox a bit higher in the car so that the axles remain flat when the car is lower instead of point up in to the hubs, driveline vibe i am not sure on as the car doesnt go yet :D but its getting there, as for the plate it was made to suit my car so unless you change the engine angle and that to the same as mine it would be no help, the adaptor plate is actually one of the cheaper parts of the conversion

The primary reason I went with the GT4 besides more documentation on the intarwebz was parts availability. Evo5 gearbox in the US? Not so much..

Jay, just change your last name to "McWoodward" and move to the NYC area. You'll have more EVO parts available than you know what to do with. The Irish Rally Mafia reigns supreme over here.

Now... how about a 4G63 to go with the trans? Mmmmmm.... yum!

Yep custom flywheel to mate to the quater master twin plate clutch, and align it where it needs to be for the evo box
