    GI: Manifolds/downpipes/dumptubes

If this is in the wrong section or against forum rules please notify me via pm and do what you must.

Over the past few years ive enjoyed fabricating parts for my mazda, ive gotten pretty good at it and wanted to see if there would be any interest in a log manifold / down pipe / dump tube combo.
This is not going to be a group buy, im not going to try and build 10 sets at once and keep everyone waiting to avoid frustration and problems i would only build 1 at a time.
    Everything would be tig welded.
They would be flanged for t3 series turbos only (all i have for mockup)
They would be for 38 mm external wastgates only. (again all i have for mockup)

Pricing is still to be determined, just wanting to see if this is something i should pursue or let die.

Question: I'm going to be running a t25 ebay miata manifold with a t3(new flange being put on). Would there be a way to fab up a downpipe to bolt up where the stock exhaust is? Also a o2 and wideband bung. I could mail the manifold for mock up purposes. In the downpipe id like to have the wastgate coming out of the turbo. Will that be a problem? What price range would I be looking at?

i'd just be happy with a proper vj-20 exhaust flange that has both ports and an inner lip to keep the gases divided.

well guys heres the short of it, i only wanted to do what i specified for one reason, and that reason being : free time.

With a fiance, a 3 year old and a 50 hour a week oscilating work schedule (4 12+ hour days) i only get so much time to work on something hence why i wouldnt want to tie up anybody elses time or parts.

I figured a log manifold with a t3 turbo (5 or 4 bolt discharge i have both housings) would cover a wide range. I suppose i could do a t25 setup as well just need to get my hands on a pos garrett t25, i can do internal wastegates too, again i just need to find stuff cheap for mockup.
Sorry if i burst anyones bubble I figured it this way, i was going to build a log/dp/dump combo for my mx3, i figured i would build another and put it on here. if theres enough interest id build more.

I'd be interested in a log manifold for my BP with a T3 flange and waste gate you stated. I want to get into a Holset over the summer.

Turpro is gonna have a t3 flange on his manifold. He was saying is the downpipe going to bolt up to where the stock exhaust does. Like the dp going to the cat?

the CS downpipe doesn't stop boost creep/spikes

externally gated manifolds are really the only way to go.

So im thinking pricing for the manifold/downpipe/dump combo with hardware would be in the 5-600 range. This would be for a stainless manifold but steel downpipe / dump.
Also depending on whether or not you guys want me to use v bands or flanges number of o2 bungs etc etc.

I have a 1990 323 GTX. It is from Japan, so RHD, etc etc...i wasnt sure if you would be able to make a downpipe for the stock turbo.
Im on the fence between selling it and keeping deoending on the price i am looking at for upgrades i want
